On Tuesday morning, a 48-year-old man from Iași was found fallen into a pit approximately 15 meters deep, in the area of the former stone quarry in the commune of Măgura Ilvei. Police officers from the 7th Rural Police Station Sângeorz-Băi were notified and intervened, identifying the man who had multiple traumas. With the help of locals, he was extracted from the hard-to-reach area and handed over to medical teams.
The manager of the Bistrița-Năsăud County Ambulance Service mentioned that the man was conscious but hypothermic, having a cranial trauma and a left parietal wound. The victim was transported to the UPU Bistrița for medical care. The police have opened a criminal investigation for bodily harm due to negligence, continuing to document the case.
