A man died after an electricity pole fell on him.

A tragic incident occurred in the village of Caraclău, the commune of Bârsănești, Bacau County, where an electricity pole collapsed over two passersby. The accident happened due to a rotten tree that fell over the power lines, causing the pole to fall.

At the scene, military firefighters intervened with a fire truck and a SMURD crew, along with a crew from the County Ambulance Service.

Unfortunately, a man approximately 60 years old was declared dead, and the resuscitation efforts made by the medical teams were in vain. The other victim, conscious, suffered a cranio-cerebral trauma and was transported to the hospital for medical care. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
