An accident occurred on Saturday in the Ceahlău Massif, when a 42-year-old man from Cluj County fell from a cliff while hiking with his family.
The incident took place at an altitude of 1,250 meters, near the Poiana Prințului cabin, where the man slipped and fell approximately 30 meters. Rescuers from Salvamont Neamț quickly intervened, retrieving the man and transporting him to the SMURD helicopter that arrived from Iași. The patient was taken to the Emergency Reception Unit in Târgu Mureș, having multiple traumas, including a cranio-cerebral injury with loss of consciousness and head wounds, as well as fractures. Doctors stated that the man was conscious and cooperative but presented with retrograde amnesia.
