CFR announces important works on the railway infrastructure in the Capital area, which will affect train traffic between April 20, 2026, at 8:00 AM, and May 29, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The restrictions concern the Bucharest-Videle Line 100, especially between Bucharest North and Chitila, on the section between kilometers 2+490 and 3+200.

These interventions are part of the 'Quick Wins' program, aimed at eliminating speed restrictions and improving railway infrastructure. CFR emphasizes that the works will increase the safety and performance of the railway network, and train traffic will be temporarily suspended on track I between Bucharest North and Bucharesti Noi, with traffic being moved to track II.

In the first phase, the speed of trains will be limited to 30 km/h, which will later increase to 50 km/h. Passengers are advised to check the train schedule in advance and to pay attention to announcements in stations and trains.
