The interim Minister of Agriculture, Tanczos Barna, stated that the low temperatures during this period have had a negative impact on fruit growing in almost all counties of the country.

Following discussions with agricultural directorates, Barna mentioned that, to his surprise, field crops do not look bad, even in areas affected by drought. Although the precipitation is sufficient to support field crops, fruit growing has suffered significant damage, and the consequences could be severe. The minister emphasized that global warming will not only manifest through high temperatures but also through extreme fluctuations, which affect both farmers and citizens.

Tanczos Barna stated that, although some risks can be managed through irrigation and government interventions, others depend on unpredictable weather conditions.
