The investigation was initiated following a complaint and found that between December 2024 and April 2025, the website of a former presidential candidate allowed the storage and access of user information through cookies without obtaining consent. This contravenes the provisions of Law 506/2004, which stipulates that data storage is only allowed under specific conditions. The authorities stress the importance of informing users in this context.
