At Friday's meeting, the government decided to postpone the adoption of the private pensions bill for at least a week, as it wanted a wider debate. The draft provides for scheduled withdrawal options for pensions, limiting full withdrawal. As of May 2025, Pillar 2 had more than 8.3 million contributors and monthly contributions amounted to around 150-200 million lei. Nicușor Dan also signed the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Dragos Anastasiu.
