Two people, a Georgian and a foreign national, were arrested in Batumi for handling and attempting to sell uranium valued at 3 million dollars, enough to make a deadly bomb. The State Security Service prevented a transnational crime linked to the illegal sale of nuclear material. Video footage showed agents inspecting a vehicle for radiation. Georgia has previously had serious incidents linked to the trade in nuclear materials, raising security concerns.
