German prosecutors have stated that a Ukrainian suspect was arrested in Croatia in connection with the explosions that occurred in 2022 at the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
The arrest was made by the Croatian police, which acted on the basis of a European arrest warrant, in the city of Pula. The suspect is accused of causing explosions and destroying buildings. This is the second arrest related to this case, with another Ukrainian suspect having been arrested in Italy last year.
The investigation continues to establish further details about the incident that affected European energy infrastructure.
