A strong fire broke out on the night from Thursday to Friday at a storage and repair warehouse in Sector 1 of the Capital. A RO-Alert was issued due to the dense smoke.

On the night from Thursday to Friday, a fire occurred at a warehouse located on Marginei Street, in Sector 1 of Bucharest, in the Chitila area – Service Nobel.

According to the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISUBIF), upon the arrival of the crews, the fire was manifesting with open flames and large smoke emissions, with a risk of fire spreading. To extinguish the fire, 20 fire trucks with water and foam, one intervention and rescue vehicle for high-altitude operations, as well as one rescue vehicle were mobilized. Two SMURD teams were also sent to the scene, and police forces and other intervention teams were also mobilized.

Considering the very large smoke emissions, a RO-Alert message was sent to inform and warn the nearby population.

According to ISU, no victims have been identified.
