On Wednesday morning, a fire broke out at a house in Sector 5 of the Capital, injuring two people, who were transported to the hospital with burns and smoke exposure. Firefighters intervened around 5:40 AM, finding the fire manifesting with open flames and large smoke emissions, with the risk of spreading to neighboring buildings.

Intervention teams were activated to check the interior of the house, evacuating any potential victims and limiting the spread of the fire. The fire affected the ground floor and the attic of the house, covering an area of approximately 80 square meters. Authorities mobilized six fire-fighting vehicles, one rescue vehicle, one intervention and high-altitude rescue vehicle, as well as three SMURD ambulances. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
