Firefighters are intervening to extinguish a fire in Bucharest, on Garoafei Street, affecting 700 square meters. Several people have been evacuated, and one requires medical attention.

On Saturday afternoon, firefighters in Bucharest intervened to extinguish a fire that was spreading over an estimated area of 700 square meters, in the area of Garoafei Street. The Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISUBIF) reported that measures were taken to evacuate residents from the area. The fire is producing intense smoke, and SMURD crews have taken a person who requires medical assistance.

Nine fire-fighting vehicles have been alerted, including rescue teams and the Special Rescue Detachment, which are operating on three streets to locate the fire. So far, two people have been evacuated, without burns or smoke exposure, one of them being a man confined to bed, and the other a woman in a state of faintness.
