Fire at Bălăceanca Psychiatric Hospital / Approximately 50 people were evacuated

The firefighters intervened on Thursday morning to extinguish a fire that broke out at the Eftimie Diamandescu Psychiatric Hospital in Bălăceanca. Approximately 50 people, including patients and medical staff, were evacuated following the incident.

According to ISU Bucharest - Ilfov, the fire was reported by the intervention teams, who noticed a slight release of smoke inside, without flames. The fire occurred in a room on the first floor, where textile materials burned.

The authorities confirmed that the fire was extinguished and that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
