Firefighters are responding with eight emergency vehicles to a fire at the former military unit in Vlădești

A fire broke out on the roof of a building within the former military unit in Vlădești, Vâlcea County. Firefighters are responding with eight emergency vehicles, and the operation is ongoing. Road traffic on Știrbei Vodă Street has been completely blocked to allow the crews to access the site and carry out operations.

Crews from the Râmnicu Vâlcea Fire Department, the Brezoi Fire Station, the Drăgășani Fire Department and the Bunești Operations Point have been mobilized at the scene. From Râmnicu Vâlcea, two water-and-foam firefighting vehicles, an aerial ladder truck, a rescue vehicle and an ABROLL-type intervention container were dispatched.

Firefighters from Drăgășani, Bunești and Brezoi are also taking part in the operation, with firefighting vehicles and an aerial ladder truck. So far, the authorities have not reported any victims.

The cause of the fire and the value of the damage are not known. After the operation is completed, the authorities will determine the circumstances in which the fire occurred.
