Fire breaks out at two houses in Chiajna, Ilfov / Authorities intervened with eight emergency vehicles

A fire broke out on Sunday, November 8, at two P+1 houses on Grigore Eremia Street in Chiajna, Ilfov County. No casualties have been reported so far.

When the first crews arrived, the fire was producing open flames and heavy smoke, with a risk of spreading to neighboring buildings. Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the flames, and the fire was contained to the two buildings.

According to the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate, eight water and foam firefighting vehicles, one high-rise intervention and rescue vehicle, one extrication vehicle, and two SMURD crews were dispatched to the scene.

The intervention continues to fully extinguish the hotspots and inspect the affected buildings. Authorities are to establish the circumstances in which the fire broke out and the value of the damage.
