A 21-year-old driver has been detained after causing an accident in Mamaia which resulted in one death and three injuries. He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and had drugs in the car.

The 21-year-old was detained for 24 hours and tested positive with a breathalyzer, which showed a blood alcohol level of 0.68 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air. One person died and three others were seriously injured. Officers found several sachets of prohibited substances in the young man's car. He had also been fined in January for several traffic violations.
