A 17-year-old young man died in a traffic accident in Slatina after hitting a pole.

On the night from Sunday to Monday, a tragic accident occurred on a street in the outskirts of the municipality of Slatina, where a 17-year-old young man died after the car he was driving, without having a license, hit a pole. In the vehicle were also his 14-year-old brother, as well as another 20-year-old young man, the owner of the vehicle. According to representatives of the Olt County Police Inspectorate, the accident occurred due to causes that are yet to be determined following investigations.

The passengers were transported to the Slatina County Emergency Hospital, having sustained minor injuries. The police have opened a criminal case for manslaughter, bodily harm due to negligence, driving a vehicle without a license, and entrusting a vehicle to a person who does not hold a driver's license.
