Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu has said that the next package of government measures will focus on reforming state-owned companies, with the aim of cutting bosses' salaries and revising management contracts. Although 1,300 state-owned companies generated profits, many are loss-making. The first step will be to amend Law 109 to improve companies' performance, while renegotiating current contracts is a temporary solution. Anastasiu emphasized transparency and possible closures of non-performing companies.
