At a recent meeting, the Supreme Council for National Defense discussed the impact of tax evasion on Romania's economic security, highlighting that it affects the state budget and the quality of public services. The CSAT members agreed on the need for a firm approach, including intensified controls and digitalization of the tax system. The government is committed to developing a regulatory framework to discourage tax evasion and facilitation activities, including through criminal measures.
