Although he is no longer part of the party's leadership, he insisted that USR has no moral obligation to support a candidate who does not reflect the wishes of the voters.

Additionally, Ghinea discussed public pressure in the context of a possible suspension of Nicușor Dan, mentioning that, although he does not believe there are grounds for suspension, public anger could influence political decisions.
