The National Confederation for Women's Entrepreneurship (CONAF) states that Romania does not suffer from a lack of competent women, but from their underrepresentation in political and administrative decision-making spaces. In a statement, CONAF emphasizes that the majority of recent political delegations have been composed exclusively of men, raising questions about representation mechanisms.

European data shows that Romania ranks 25th out of 27 in terms of women's representation in Parliament, with only 22%, and at the local level, women make up only 8.9% of local councils. Cristina Chiriac, the president of CONAF, states that the problem is not the lack of competent women, but the weak conversion of female competence into public influence.

CONAF is committed to increasing women's participation in Romania's economic and administrative life, emphasizing that authentic modernization begins with the recognition of competence and equitable representation. The organization, which brings together 15,000 companies and over 245,000 employees, advocates for public policies that support entrepreneurship and lead to sustainable economic growth.
