CFR S.A. condemns the dangerous behaviors observed in a video recording, in which a driver and a pedestrian ignore safety signals at a railway crossing.

The National Railway Company CFR S.A. firmly condemned the dangerous behaviors captured in a recent video recording, which shows serious violations of safety rules at a level crossing. The images illustrate how a driver forces the crossing at the moment the barriers are lowering, while a pedestrian crosses immediately after, right in front of an approaching train.


CFR emphasized that the signaling installations and barriers functioned correctly, but human behaviors can lead to fatal accidents. The company reminded that trains have absolute priority and that disregarding traffic rules exposes road users to major risks. CFR will send the footage to the Police for the identification of the individuals involved and the application of legal measures.
