The National Railway Company CFR SA has announced special measures for the period of January 17-21, in the context of a warning for extremely cold weather, with minimum temperatures frequently forecasted between -20 and -10 degrees Celsius. CFR staff constantly monitor the tracks, activate the heating systems of the switches, and supervise the power supply installations to prevent problems caused by the contraction of metal. Although teams are making efforts to maintain the traffic schedule, CFR warns that extreme cold may cause delays or technical limitations. Travelers are advised to check updated information before traveling, on official platforms or at stations.
