Radu Miruță, the interim Minister of Transport, announced that CFR will publish monthly data on train delays, including infrastructure-related causes. This is part of the new Letter of Expectations for the Board of Directors of CFR SA, valid for the 2027-2031 mandate. The measures include an annual program to eliminate speed restrictions on important routes, such as Bucharest-Constanța and Bucharest-Brașov. Miruță emphasizes a paradigm shift in the leadership of CFR, with measurable objectives and clear deadlines. The principle of "who delays pays" will also be introduced, and modern signaling systems will be used effectively. The minister requested that the company's losses decrease by at least 5% annually and announced measures to improve services and safety.
