A team of researchers from the University of Edinburgh has analyzed the brains of 25 cats that showed symptoms of dementia, such as confusion and sleep disturbances. They found accumulations of beta-amyloid, a toxic protein associated with Alzheimer's disease. This discovery could open new avenues for Alzheimer's treatments and improve our understanding of dementia in cats.
