The police descends into Sector 2 to rescue 124 cats

The officers of the Animal Protection Service conducted checks in Sector 2, following a report, where they discovered 84 cats with a woman, all of which were taken and transported to veterinary clinics for health assessment.

In another building under construction, another 40 cats were found, which were also transported for medical care. The DGPMB emphasized the importance of ensuring proper conditions for animals, according to Law no. 205/2004 on animal protection, which prohibits cruelty and mistreatment.

The police encourage citizens to report situations where animals are mistreated or abandoned, calling 112 in case of imminent danger. Checks continue to establish the necessary legal measures.
