Grozdan Karadjov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport of Bulgaria, stated that it is necessary to build a new bridge over the Danube at Silistra, alongside the existing ones. This bridge would facilitate crossing for the South-North corridor, essential for connections with Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine. Karadjov mentioned that, although Bulgaria is ready to provide both funding and willingness for the project, the lack of desire from Romania represents an obstacle. He emphasized that without advancing this project, discussions about transport corridors and support for the reconstruction of Ukraine will not have a real impact.
