The Municipality of Bucharest has announced the initiative for the pedestrianization and regeneration of Edgar Quinet and Biserica Enei streets, with the involvement of students from the 'Ion Mincu' University of Architecture and Urbanism. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu stated that five winning ideas have already been awarded, which will underpin the final project for the area, including modern urban furniture and green space, inspired by European towns.

The mayor expressed hope that these ideas will be transformed into concrete projects in the coming weeks, wishing for the area to become exclusively pedestrian and university-oriented. He also encouraged students to contribute proposals for other areas that can be freed from cars, emphasizing the importance of their work in the development of cities in Romania.
