A 46-year-old man from Botoșani County was detained for 24 hours after he kidnapped and physically assaulted his 48-year-old partner. The incident occurred on October 24, 2025, when the man threatened the woman with acts of violence and held her against her will in a residence in the municipality of Botoșani. The victim suffered injuries that required medical attention. Additionally, the man stole a mobile phone and jewelry from her. The police issued a detention order for offenses such as threats, domestic violence, and deprivation of liberty. The man was taken to the Botoșani County Police's Detention and Preventive Arrest Center.
