A police officer from the Bistreț Border Police Service, Dolj County, has been placed in preventive arrest for bribery and influence peddling. According to the Prosecutor's Office next to the Dolj Tribunal, in June 2025, officer P.C.Ș. caught a man, J.A., driving with a suspended license and initially demanded 1,500 euros not to file a criminal case against him.

Subsequently, in September 2025, P.C.Ș. requested 4,000 euros, promising J.A. that he would intervene with the responsible authorities to obtain a favorable solution in his criminal case. Following investigations, the officer was detained on March 14, 2026, and the Dolj Tribunal ordered his preventive arrest. The case is managed by the Prosecutor's Office next to the Dolj Tribunal, in collaboration with the National Anti-Corruption Directorate.
