The DNA prosecutors discovered approximately 350,000 euros in the homes of the head of the Romanian Road Authority, Cristian Anton, as part of a large-scale investigation into corruption and the establishment of an organized criminal group. According to judicial sources, prosecutors conducted over 20 searches in several counties and in Bucharest, including at the institution's headquarters, targeting several individuals suspected of bribery, influence peddling, and manipulating exams for professional driver certifications. The investigation shows that sums of money were allegedly requested to facilitate the passing of these exams, and investigations continue to establish the entire network involved.
