The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) has blocked the activity of some food delivery services after discovering cockroaches and unsanitary conditions in the thermal insulation containers used for transport.

The head of ANPC, Békési Csaba-Lajos, announced that inspections will continue in Bucharest and will expand nationwide, considering that food products can reach consumers in conditions that compromise their quality. ANPC can suspend the activity of companies that do not comply with hygiene standards, and shipments with irregularities have already been halted.

Consumers are urged to check transport conditions and report irregularities to ANPC. Although violations have been identified, Békési mentioned that there are also positive examples, but the phenomenon of non-compliance is widespread.
