AJet, a new low-cost airline owned by Turkish Airlines, will enter the Romanian market with its first route to Bucharest, starting in June 2026. The Bodrum–Bucharest route has already been introduced into the reservation system, with a frequency of one flight per week. Information about AJet's entry into the Romanian market has been anticipated since the end of 2023. Turkish Airlines, the parent company of AJet, is recognized worldwide, ranking second in terms of the number of destinations, operating flights to 340 cities in 131 countries and holding a leading position in international destinations. This new route will contribute to diversifying flight options for passengers in Romania.
