TAROM has announced the integration of the first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into its fleet, which will be used on long European routes.

The aircraft, already painted in TAROM colors, will be able to carry 189 passengers and will offer more affordable tickets due to a 20% reduction in kerosene consumption and decreased emissions. Additionally, the noise level is 50% lower, enhancing the comfort of passengers and the communities around the airports.

In total, TAROM will receive four aircraft of this type, the first expected in the fall, and the next ones in 2027.

The company is undergoing a restructuring process, having debts of 930 million lei.
