Adrian Câciu, current deputy and former Minister of Finance from the PSD party, reacted vehemently to the statements of the Government's spokesperson, Ioana Dogioiu, who stated that, in principle, the minimum wage will not increase in 2026. Câciu emphasized that, on the contrary, the minimum wage will be raised starting January 1, 2026, mentioning that this is stipulated in the PNRR and in European legislation. He criticized the Government's position, suggesting that those who do not support the increase of the minimum wage should leave. Ioana Dogioiu previously stated that the final decision regarding the minimum wage is still under analysis, but Câciu insisted that the PSD firmly supports its increase.
