Noah Dettwiler, a 20-year-old Swiss rider, was the victim of a serious accident on Sunday during the Malaysian Grand Prix in Moto3. During the warm-up lap, Dettwiler was violently hit by the new world champion, the 19-year-old Spaniard José Antonio Rueda, while he was slowing down on the track. Both riders were airlifted to the hospital. According to his team and family, Dettwiler underwent several surgeries that went well, and his condition is now stable but still critical. Rueda suffered a hand injury and bruises but is conscious. Dettwiler is participating in his second full season in Moto3.
