A 47-year-old Romanian man was seriously injured on Sunday morning in a workplace accident involving a ride at Oktoberfest in Munich. The incident occurred on the final day of the festival, at the ship-shaped ride in the Oidn Wiesn area.
The emergency call was logged at around 10:15 a.m. A medical crew from Aicher Ambulanz responded quickly, provided first aid to the victim and began resuscitation efforts. The man, who was reportedly struck in the head, was subsequently taken to a hospital in Munich in critical condition.
The Munich Criminal Investigation Department, through Section 13, has taken over the investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
