A 55-year-old Romanian driver had his license confiscated and is under investigation in Germany after a drive that ended with police intervention. The incident took place on Monday evening, September 14, in Aulendorf, Baden-Württemberg, after a witness reported that the man had nearly driven his car into his vehicle.

According to Ravensburg Police, the witness called at 11 p.m. and told officers that the driver appeared to be drunk. He allegedly insulted him through gestures and tried several times to hit his car before continuing to drive through the town.

Later, on Sandstraße, the car driven by the Romanian struck a parked vehicle. The driver did not stop and left the scene of the accident. Police managed to stop him, and the car was already damaged.

A breath test indicated a blood alcohol level of just over 2.7 per mille. The man was taken to a clinic for blood samples and surrendered his driving license. He is under investigation for endangering road traffic, leaving the scene of an accident and insulting behavior. The penalty will be determined after the investigation is completed.
