A Romanian woman in Italy, caught behind the wheel with a blood alcohol level of 3.01 g/l. She believed she was in Trieste, although she was driving in Treviso

A 40-year-old Romanian woman was caught by Italian carabinieri driving in an advanced state of intoxication near Canova Airport in Treviso, even though she was convinced she was in the city of Trieste. The woman was driving a Fiat 500 in a zigzag pattern and had a completely destroyed tire, with the car running directly on the rim.

A breathalyzer test indicated a blood alcohol level of 3.01 g/l, more than six times higher than the legal limit stipulated by Italian law. The police suspended her driving license, opened criminal proceedings for driving under the influence of alcohol, and impounded the car, which belonged to her.
