The lifeless body of a 64-year-old Romanian man was abandoned in a parking lot in Bavaria

A 64-year-old Romanian man who worked for a company in Germany’s Ebersberg district allegedly died on the company premises, after which his body was transported approximately 100 kilometers and abandoned in a parking lot. The case is being investigated by the Weilheim Criminal Investigation Department and the Munich II Public Prosecutor’s Office.

The man’s body was discovered at around 1:25 a.m. on the night of August 23, 2026, in a parking lot along federal highway B307, near the Sylvenstein Reservoir. Passersby alerted the Bad Tölz Police, who cordoned off the area and began investigating.

The autopsy found no indication of a violent death or of another person’s involvement in the death. Investigators consider a medical cause likely, but the exact time and circumstances of the death have not been established.

The investigation led to a 59-year-old German woman from the Miesbach district. She allegedly employed the Romanian man and is suspected of placing his body in a car, transporting it to the location where it was found, and abandoning it. A possible failure to provide assistance is also being examined.

On Thursday, September 3, searches were conducted at two properties in the Ebersberg and Miesbach districts. The woman is being investigated while free. Authorities are trying to reconstruct the chronology of events and the reason the body was moved.
