Patrick Vieira has been dismissed from the position of coach of the Genoa team, the Italian team owned by the Romanian Dan Șucu.

Patrick Vieira has been dismissed from the management of Genoa CFC, the club announcing the amicable separation through an official statement. The decision comes after it initially seemed that the coach would continue, but the poor results of the team, which occupies the last place in Serie A without any victories after nine rounds, led the management to terminate the contract by mutual agreement.

In Vieira's place, the interim coaching staff has been entrusted to coach Roberto Murgita, assisted by Domenico Criscito, for the match against Sassuolo. The club is going through a complicated period at the administrative level as well, after sporting director Marco Ottolini was also dismissed. Vieira took over the team in November 2024, having a record of 10 wins, 12 draws, and 15 losses in 37 matches.
