Steaua Bucharest announced that Daniel Oprița will remain the head coach of the team, despite the poor start in the 2026/2027 edition of the 2nd League, where the team has lost three matches and obtained one draw, occupying the last place in the standings.

The club emphasized the importance of continuity and stability during this difficult period. In the official statement, it is mentioned that solutions will be sought to strengthen the squad, believing that, through unity and hard work, the team can improve its results.

Daniel Oprița, a former player of Steaua, has extensive experience as a coach, having previously worked at various clubs in Romania. Additionally, Steaua Bucharest does not have promotion rights to the Super League, which further complicates the team's situation.
