Colonel Eduard Danilof was officially appointed on Thursday, October 1, 2026, as commander of the Steaua Bucharest Army Sports Club. The decision confirms in office the leader who had been carrying out the commander’s duties by delegation since October 2025.
The appointment does not change the club’s leadership, but it gives Danilof his first official term at the helm of CSA Steaua. The colonel has nearly 30 years of experience in the Ministry of National Defence, with most of his career related to managing military assets and infrastructure.
Before taking over the leadership of CSA Steaua, Eduard Danilof coordinated the activities of the Steaua Stadium Administration Centre. His official installation comes at a difficult time for the club from Ghencea, amid supporters’ dissatisfaction and high expectations.
In his first message after the appointment, Danilof avoided making promises and stressed that concrete results must be the priority. “Steaua Bucharest deserves seriousness, balance and, above all, action,” declared the CSA Steaua commander.
