Adrian Mititelu, the owner of FC U Craiova, announced that he will open a lawsuit at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) after the Argentine player Juan Bauza signed for free with the Greek club Levadiakos.
Mititelu intends to take action in court against both the player and the club, as well as FIFA, demanding the sum of 8 million euros, representing the player's contract termination clause.
He claims that all three parties involved must respond jointly for the unilateral termination of the contract. Mititelu explained that, although Bauza was provisionally registered, the Greek club and the player acted in accordance with FIFA rules, thus assuming responsibility for the termination of the contract. He is now awaiting the court's decision regarding his compensation request.
