Dutchman Max Verstappen, the driver of the Red Bull team, dominated the United States Grand Prix, winning the race after starting from pole position. This victory allowed him to reduce the gap to the championship leader, Oscar Piastri from McLaren, who finished in fifth place. Piastri's teammate, Lando Norris, secured second place, surpassing Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, who finished in third place.

Verstappen stated that he had an incredible weekend, maintaining a tight pace with Norris throughout the race. Currently, Piastri has a 14-point lead over Norris, while Verstappen has reduced the gap to the Australian to 40 points, after being 104 points behind at the end of August.
