Lando Norris will start from pole position in the sprint race of the Miami Grand Prix, after achieving the best time in Friday night's qualifying. The McLaren driver recorded a time of 1:27.869, managing to surpass the current championship leader, Antonelli from Mercedes, by 0.222 seconds. This is the first time this season that McLaren has secured pole position. Oscar Piastri, Norris's teammate, finished qualifying in third place, while Charles Leclerc from Ferrari took fourth. Max Verstappen from Red Bull finished fifth, followed by George Russell in sixth and Lewis Hamilton in seventh. The Alpine drivers, Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly, finished in eighth and tenth places, with Isack Hadjar from Red Bull in between them, in ninth.
