Dutch driver Max Verstappen from Red Bull expressed satisfaction with his performance in the first free practice sessions for the Australian Grand Prix, the opening round of the Formula 1 World Championship. Verstappen achieved the third fastest time in the first session, with 1 min 20 sec 789/100, completing 27 laps, and in the second session he finished in sixth place, with a time of 1 min 20 sec 366/1000, after 13 laps. Although he had a productive day, he mentioned that the team is facing grip issues and is working on adjusting the car. Red Bull's chief engineer, Paul Monaghan, emphasized the importance of the lessons learned and preparation for qualifying. The best times in the sessions were set by Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) and Oscar Piastri (McLaren).
