British driver George Russell dominated the qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix, securing pole position after being the fastest in all sessions (Q1, Q2, and Q3). This is his eighth pole position in his career driving for Mercedes, thus solidifying his status as a favorite for victory in the race on Sunday. His teammate, Kimi Antonelli, finished in second place, while Red Bull's Isack Hadjar took third place.

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) will start from fourth place, followed by Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris from McLaren. Lewis Hamilton finished qualifying in seventh place, while Max Verstappen had a difficult day, failing to record a time and will start from 20th place after going off track in Q1.
