CSM Bucharest won the Danube Cup, beating Danuna Brăila 31-28, thus achieving their third victory in the tournament.

CSM Bucharest managed to win the 9th edition of the Danube Cup, after a narrow 31-28 victory over Dunării Brăila. In the tournament, CSM Bucharest had three victories and the final standings were: 1. CSM Bucharest, 2. Corona Brasov, 3. Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub, 4. Dunărea Brăila. The champion will participate in a similar tournament in August and will debut in the Champions League on September 7.
