Denmark’s women’s handball national team won the EHF EURO Cup 2026 after defeating Norway 34-30 (17-15) on Sunday in the final held at the “Ioan Kunst-Ghermănescu” Multipurpose Hall in Bucharest. The Danes controlled the match from start to finish and won without difficulty.
Trine Jensen Oestergaard was Denmark’s top scorer, with eight goals. Helena Elver Hagesoe, Kristina Joergensen, Emma Cecilie Uhrskov Friis and Michala Elsberg Moeller scored five goals each. Goalkeeper Anna Opstrup Kristensen made 15 saves.
For Norway, Henny Ella Reistad scored ten times, but her team failed to turn the result around. Romania finished the competition in third place after defeating Hungary 33-30 (16-16) in the third-place playoff.
